Xavier Beauchamp-Tremblay

Xavier Beauchamp-Tremblay is Chief Innovation and Transformation Officer at Langlois Avocats, where he leads AI and legal technology initiatives across the firm. A lawyer and CISSP, he spent six years as President and CEO of CanLII, Canada’s primary platform for open access to legal information. He subsequently worked in KPMG’s intelligent automation practice, delivering projects across the regtech, legal, and financial services sectors, including legal operations consulting. Earlier in his career he practiced IP and IT law at national and international firms. He brings to this paper a systems perspective on legal infrastructure shaped by years of working at the boundary where law, open data, and software meet.

Frédéric Boivin Couillard

Frédéric Boivin Couillard leads AI strategy for the legal vertical at Hebbia, where he engineers AI agents and guides deployments for Am Law 100 firms, Fortune 500 companies, and investment funds. He brings a rare combination of credentials to this work: a CFA designation, membership in the Quebec Bar, and hands-on experience building zero-to-one AI products for the legal sector at KPMG’s management consulting practice. He began his career in financing and securities at Lavery, de Billy LLP before transitioning into data science and full-stack software development. His work sits at the intersection of legal practice, capital markets, and applied AI.
